Act 5 Romeo Journal
entry:
Hopefully some good news will come soon. It’s all I have wanted ever since I have been banished. I just wish that I could see Juliet again. I would rather die than be without her. Oh here comes Balthasar, maybe with some good news. No! it can’t be true! I defy you stars! Why must my beloved Juliet die on terms like these. Well if I cannot be with her in this life. Then I must find a way to meet her in the next. Juliet I will lie with you tonight. An Apothecary lives nearby, maybe I can something from him that will aid me in my travels to the next life; maybe a way out. I will force upon him 40 ducats he cannot refuse an offer of such for he is to poor to live without it. He has given me a potion which is so powerful that even if I had the strength of a thousand men that It would still kill me immediately. I will take and use this potion at Juliet’s grave. I will take Balthasar with me, he will be of some use in getting into the tomb. Now that I have a pickaxe I will open her tomb and…Paris? What are you doing here? I am no “Vile Montague” I only killed Tybalt because he killed Mercutio. Go away I do not want to commit another crime. Please the only weapon I have is for myself. Will you provoke me? Alright then let’s fight boy! We both have such bad luck; so valiant I will bury you in a magnificent grave. Juliet you look so beautiful it’s as if you are still alive. Oh this potion works fast, the Apothecary was right. So I die with a kiss.

Act 5 Friar Journal
entry:
Oh hello Friar John welcome back from Mantua, what news do you bring of my friend Romeo. Or if he wrote his thought down please give me his letter. You were stuck due to a plague. Oh no, this cannot be good; this will ruin the whole plan if Romeo finds out and actually thinks that Juliet is dead. The fool may want to take his own life or go on a rampage for he loves her so dearly. I must go to the tomb alone. She will wake up not to see Romeo and be very mad at me but I will write again to Mantua and keep Juliet in my cell until Romeo comes. Where is Romeo and whose blood is this that stains the floor before the entrance to the tomb? Why are these master less swords lying here covered in blood? Romeo is so pale, and Paris too? When did these horrible things happen? I hear noise, Lady Juliet come out of your families tomb and come with me. Your husband is dead and Paris too. Please think about your life and come with me. I can make you part of the Sisterhood of Holy Nuns. Don’t ask questions just come. No Juliet! Prince I am under the most suspicion due to the fact that I was at the scene of this awful occurrence but I did not kill anyone. Romeo was the husband of thy Juliet but when Romeo killed Tybalt he was hereby banished by you. He then wanted a way to see Juliet again and Juliet felt the same for Romeo. So I gave her an option of taking a potion to make her seem deceased and actually in a deep sleep. The plan was for her to be taken to the tomb, wake up, and then see her beloved Juliet in front of her so they could escape to Mantua. But, the odds weren’t in our favor when I sent for a message from me from Friar John but he was quarantined due to a plague and was incapable of passing on the plan to Romeo. I came to the cell to an awakened Juliet with two dead, Romeo and Paris, and asked her to come with me so that I could make her one of my nuns. She then took her own life. This whole tragedy is my fault and I should suffer the most severe punishment.
